Malefice in Malta
Popular UK metal band Malefice, fresh off their tour with Devildriver and God Forbid, will be performing with local bands Slit, Tendency Charge and Recoil on Friday, December 7 at Poxx Bar, Paceville and with CoreFrequency and Dying Signals on Saturday, 8 December at Remedy, Paceville. A critic from Kerrang!, the cult UK rock magazine, will be present to review the gig. The first band on Friday kicks off at 9.45pm sharp and entrance to both gigs is Lm3.50. St Paul’s Choir Concert

Final show tonight
Lucrezia Borgia
Lemonhead Productions will be putting up an original piece, written by Bryan Muscat, based on the notorious figure of Lucrezia Borgia. The play is directed by Noel Tanti and will be held at St James Cavalier. Cast includes Michelle Bonnici, Neville Refalo and Sandro Vella.

Vanishing Valletta
Exhibition of photographs by David Pisani at the Hilton, St Julian’s. The exhibition showcases the product of an 18 year long project that was entered into the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. A book of photographs will also be released to coincide with the exhibition.

Analogue
An exhibition of pioneering video art from UK, Canada and Poland from 1968 to 1988, at the Upper Galleries of St James Cavalier, Valletta.
Through a series of exhibitions, screenings, performances and discussions Analogue, aims to illuminate the early histories of artists' video, linking the work of artists in the UK, Canada and Poland in order to broaden an understanding of how, in the course of thirty years, a versatile and politically charged medium made the transition from the margins to the mainstream of contemporary practice.

Philosophy Café
The second session of the Philosophy Café, held at 2_22, Valletta from 8pm, will be a screening of Richard Linklater’s unique film Waking Life, which uses an experimental ‘rotoscoping’ technique to present its loose narrative, stitching together vignettes and philosophical discussions to form an exciting feature which does away with conventional plot structure. cafephilosophy@gmail.com

One World Week
This Student Cultural Event will be held at the KSU Common Room, Student House, University. The event aims to promote cultural diversity on campus. There will be stands for different countries to introduce their culture. The Chinese stands 'China Dream' will be part of the event. Various programs will be organized each day. Tea Art and Shadow-boxing show (tomorrow), Tie and Dye - Chinese decoration show (Tuesday), Fingerprint collection, Traditional musical instrument (Wednesday), Chinese traditional paper cut (Thursday), Chinese calligraphy (Friday). There will also be 2008 China Olympic promotion and Chinese games through out the week.

Virginia Woolf at the Opera: Wagner, Nationalism and War
Dr Emma Sutton, from the University of St Andrew's, will be delivering a lecture at Gateway Hall E, University, 6pm. Her paper explores Woolf's representation of the relationship between music and nationalist politics in her novels, including The Voyage Out (1915), Jacob's Room (1922) and Mrs Dalloway (1925).
