Gianpula held up on New Year’s day robbery

The owners of the popular entertainment establishment Gianpula, in the limits of Siggiewi, were held up at gunpoint early yesterday morning
The incident happened at 5.15am, after a New Year’s Eve party had come to an end. Police were informed immediately.
In its preliminary investigations, the police said two hooded and armed men entered the establishment in Triq Gianpula, taking with them a substantial amount of cash. The thieves fled the scene of the crime. Nobody was injured in the accident.
Police investigations are currently underway.
