Niki Gravino album launch
Goth rocker Niki Gravino will be launching his new album, The Politics of Double Beds, at Sky, Paceville. Tickets for the show, which will include a multi lingual monologue and choreography, can be purchased from Goth Hairdressing and Nara Camicie in Sliema, Valmore in Paola and all Chilli outlets.

Forsaken and Shades of Chaos
Doom metal bands Forsaken and Shades of Chaos will be playing at Poxx Bar. Doors open at 8.45pm and entrance, which includes a free drink, is Lm2.50.

December 7, December 8
Malefice in Malta
Popular UK metal band Malefice, fresh off their tour with Devildriver and God Forbid, will be performing with local bands Slit, Tendency Charge and Recoil on Friday, December 7 at Poxx Bar, Paceville and with CoreFrequency and Dying Signals on Saturday, 8 December at Remedy, Paceville. A critic from Kerrang!, the cult UK rock magazine, will be present to review the gig. The first band on Friday kicks off at 9.45pm sharp and entrance to both gigs is Lm3.50. Organized by Extreme Noise Promotions.

X-Vandals and Martyrium at Remedy
Old school metallers X-Vandals will join forces with black metallers Martyrium for an unforgiving union of dark sounds at Remedy, Paceville. This will be the last chance to see X-Vandals for a while, as the band who played a staggering eight gigs this year will now commit themselves to the studio to record a second album following their formation in 1982. Martyrium fans will be glad to see the band in action after a long hiatus and a new lineup change, as they will come armed with new material. Lucrezia Borgia
Lemonhead Productions will be putting up an original piece, written by Bryan Muscat, based on the notorious figure of Lucrezia Borgia. The play is directed by Noel Tanti and will be held at St James Cavalier. Cast includes Michelle Bonnici, Neville Refalo and Sandro Vella.

Moment in Time
A huge group of Maltese artists will be exhibiting at the Manoel Theatre Coutryard in aid of Flimkien Ghal Ambjent Ahjar. Open from 10am to 8.30pm.

Goran Cejkov at Artitude
Goran Cejkov, a Macedonian painter and sculptor, will be exhibiting his latest works at Artitude Gallery until the end of November. The exhibition will feature a series of paintings depicting Maltese architecture, particularly churches and other heritage buildings. Cejkov uses a very stylized form of abstraction when preparing his works, which is later complimented with a very photographic image of the subject portrayed.

Diversity in art
Ir-Razzett tal Markiz Mallia Tabone, Mosta, and L-Ghaqda Filantropika Talent Mosti is hosting a collective exhibition of mixed media by various artists. This diverse collection is made up of recent works, varying in style, technique and media by artists Charles Bonnici, Benny Brimmer, Ivan Fenech, Doriette Gauci Sciortino, Matthew Kassar, Mario Sammut and Carmen Vella Gauci.
Brought together by fellow artist Doriette Gauci Sciortino, this exhibition of Stone Sculptures, Oil Paintings, Sheet Metal Art, Acrylics, Ceramics and Watercolour brings together a wealth of local talent for the public to appreciate in one venue.
The exhibition will be open daily at Ir-Razzett tal Markiz Mallia Tabone and visitors will be able to meet the artists between 6pm and 9pm, Monday to Saturday, and between 10am and 12pm and 6pm and 9pm on Sunday.

Caravaggio: l’Immagine del Divino
An exhibition of original masterpieces of Caravaggio, organised by Heritage Malta and Romartificio Eventi d’Arte. At the Salon in the National Museum of Archaeology, Valletta. Open Monday to Sunday from 9.00am - 7.00pm (last admission at 6.30pm).

Analogue
An exhibition of pioneering video art from UK, Canada and Poland from 1968 to 1988, at the Upper Galleries of St James Cavalier, Valletta.
Through a series of exhibitions, screenings, performances and discussions Analogue, aims to illuminate the early histories of artists’ video, linking the work of artists in the UK, Canada and Poland in order to broaden an understanding of how, in the course of thirty years, a versatile and politically charged medium made the transition from the margins to the mainstream of contemporary practice.

Outofprint
Art exhibition organised by Warti at Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Merchant’s Street, Valletta. Works by 14 different artists will be on display, the mediums used a variety of printing techniques; Xylography, dry point, etching, relief lithography, serigraphy and monotype transfer. Open Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5pm.

Caravaggio and Paintings of Realism in Malta
The long-awaited exhibition will be held at the St John’s Co-Cathedral Annex, Valletta as part of the Caravaggio 400 celebrations, marking Caravaggio’s presence in Malta.
Caravaggio’s ‘Portrait of a Knight’, which the Baroque master painted while on the island, will be the highlight of this showcase.

December 30
Malta’s Mediterranean Trilogy: Bread, Oil and Wine
An exhibition organised by Heritage Malta as part of the EU programme Trimed. At the Ta’ Kola Windmill, Xaghra Gozo. Open Monday to Sunday from 9.00am - 5.00pm (last admission at 4.30pm).

Tomorrow
Living with others who are different
The Justice and Peace Commission and the Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice are hosting a public lecture by Professor Andrea Riccardi, founder of the Community of Sant’ Egidio, on ‘Living with others who are different: A Christian perspective’. The lecture will be held at 7pm, at the Michel’Angelo Grima Hall, Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta. Simultaneous translation from Italian to English will be provided.
