Vandalism in Gozo

The Dwejra National Park welcomes visitors to the Dwejra area with a lone placard. Last week vandals daubed red paint over the board. The national park, unveiled just a year ago, remains only an idea on paper, government having failed to initiate any concrete plans for the area. The Qawra fort at Dwejra, overlooking Fungus rock in Gozo, is presently administered by Din l-Art Helwa and Nature Trust but the adjoining area is still occupied by dozen of trappers and hunters.
And in the Lunzjata valley on the way to Xlendi Bay, vandals struck at a bus shelter on Sunday evening demolishing the glass panes used regularly by tourists,.  Two days after the act of vandalism, the ADT had still not removed the broken glass at the bus shelter.
