Nurses threaten general strike
Nursing union president Paul Pace said nurses will go on general strike if the government does not live up to its obligation to pay a special premium it negotiated prior to the elections. The premium, a second instalment of which has to be paid by 21 April, has prompted social policy minister John Dalli to call in the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses for conciliatory talks. But Paul Pace has told MaltaToday the union “means business”...
