“We Shake to Indie, We Boogie to Disco”
The Devil Digs Rave will be hosting a heady night at Poxx Bar with a variety of bands performing from 9.30pm. Mathematikal and Areola Treat will be performing live with DJs Bob and Wayne Flask keeping the mood going. Entrance is at Lm2.50.

December 15
One World, One Love
Reggae party at Tigulio, St Julian’s. Entrance is free until midnight. After midnight, Lm1 will be charged. Mojito and Sangria will be sold at Lm1.50 and 95c/pint respectively.

Wednesdays
Psychedelic Nights at Juuls
A variety of psychedelic music will be spinning at Juuls, St Julian’s. Doors open at 10pm and entrance is free.

St Paul’s Choir Concert
St Paul’s Choir will perform a concert in aid of the Eden Foundation at De La Salle College, Cottonera at 7.30pm. Tickets, including drinks and finger food are at Lm2.50. Tel. 21 807708

EnKor Christmas concert
Rotary La Vallette and Enkor are organising a Christmas Fund Raising Concert in aid of St. Mary’s Girls’ Home in India and Projects in Cottonera. The event will take place at 7:30pm at the Salesian Theatre, St John Bosco Street, Sliema. The choir, soloists and seven piece band will perform a varied repertoire of Christmas carols, both Maltese and international, gospel music plus a piece from the Broadway musical AIDA.  Tickets are available from The Salesian Theatre, Sliema, from all Cassar & Cooper outlets and from Max Mara. A contribution of Lm3 (€6.98) will be appreciated. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

John Martin Borg at Gallery G
The exhibition, which consists of over sixty pieces, includes the artist’s ever popular maritime works together with his distinctive ethereal landscapes. Included also is a selection of religious works and a number of concept studies for a large work which was commissioned for the President’s palace at San Anton. Gallery G's exhibition halls and Gallery shop (No 4, Sir Ugo Mifsud Street, Lija) are open to the public between 9:00am and 5:00pm weekdays and 9:30am and 12:30pm on Saturdays. An exhibition of paintings by Anthony P. Vella at Heritage Malta Head Office, Valletta. Open Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 4.00pm.

Vanishing Valletta
Exhibition of photographs by David Pisani at the Hilton, St Julian’s. The exhibition showcases the product of an 18 year long project that was entered into the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. A book of photographs will also be released to coincide with the exhibition.

Roots of an Island
An exhibition of paintings by Christopher Saliba at the Loggia, National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta. Open Monday to Sunday from 9.00am - 5.00pm (Last Admission 4.30pm).

Miniature Nativity Scenes: A Multicultural Christmas
An exhibition of unique nativity scenes from the five continents at the Inquisitor's Palace, Vittoriosa. Open Monday to Sunday from 9.00am - 5.00pm (Last Admission 4.30pm) at Lm2 (4.66 Euros).

Moment in Time
A huge group of Maltese artists will be exhibiting at the Manoel Theatre Coutryard in aid of Flimkien Ghal Ambjent Ahjar. Open from 10am to 8.30pm.

Caravaggio and Paintings of Realism in Malta
The long-awaited exhibition will be held at the St John’s Co-Cathedral Annex, Valletta as part of the Caravaggio 400 celebrations, marking Caravaggio’s presence in Malta.
Caravaggio’s ‘Portrait of a Knight’, which the Baroque master painted while on the island, will be the highlight of this showcase.

Malta's Mediterranean Trilogy: Bread, Oil and Wine
An exhibition organised by Heritage Malta as part of the EU programme Trimed. At the Ta' Kola Windmill, Xaghra Gozo. Open Monday to Sunday from 9.00am - 5.00pm (last admission at 4.30pm).

QUIZ NIGHTS

Thursdays
Quiz Nights held at Ciao Frà, Xemxija. Entrance next to Beachaven. Every Thursday at 9.00pm, tables team up to fill in a self-completion quiz pack of 40 general knowledge and current affairs questions. Winners receive Lm10 discount off their bill and a bottle of bubbly (both winners and runners-up). Participation fee Lm1. Reservations call: 99458567.
