VAT derogation on food, medicines extended by three years
Malta has been allowed by the European Union to keep a zero VAT rate on pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs until the end of 2010 according to a new draft temporary derogation issued yesterday which extends existing regulations for countries that joined the Union in 2004.
