Downed in Ghadira

This juvenile Purple Heron was found shot at the Foresta 2000 project at the Ghadira nature reserve last Sunday. The Purple Heron is a protected bird. Conservationists fear a hunting rampage when the new season opens in September, after the hunting season in Spring was cut short.
