San Gwann mother stabbed to death - 15-year-old daughter arrested

Police are investigating the murder of a woman, Tereza Grech, 47, found dead in San Gwann yesterday afternoon.
Her 15-year-old daughter is now under arrest over suspicion of having killed her mother in an argument earlier yesterday afternoon, at around 3.30pm in Sebuqa street, San Gwann.
The woman was found in a pool of blood at her residence in the Mensija area. Police said stab wounds were found on her body, which was later removed at about 6 p.m.
Her teenage daughter was wanted by the police as soon as the body was discovered. Magistrate Antonio Mizzi is holding an inquiry. Police Assistant Commissioner Paul Sammut is heading investigations, assisted by Superintendent Pierre Calleja and Inspectors Chris Pullicino, Martin Sammut, John C. Ellul.
