Tax amnesty for defaulters is unjust

When will this PN government stop disgracing itself with its electors? Every week the puppets running the country stoop lower and lower.
We have just had the finance minister Tonio Fenech give up in combating fiscal evasion. He is praying to the tax evaders to “please pay a little tax, we will forgive you all, or nearly all, your fines and interest due”. What justice. And those that paid their tax on the dot? The PN kind of justice rewards the thieves. This is the litany of injustices, the litany of disgrace that Gonzi and his cronies have compiled.
1. Defy the tax department – eventually they give up – and give you an amnesty.
2. MEPA sends a bill to a prominent company for €4.5 million, late, and this is ignored. Eventually MEPA give the company a discount of €3.3 million. What justice.
3. A group of people occupy land at Armier and the prime minister assures them that they will not be prosecuted – too many votes involved. What justice?
4. The president of the PN is given a permit to build a villa in an ODZ valley. Part of the permit is declared illegal by MEPA – not all the permit mind you – who wants to bet that he will win a compensation for the cancellation of the permit?
5. People are beaten by the police and neither the minister of justice nor the prime minister have taken responsibility for the police illegal actions.
6. Malta suffers disgrace at the hands of Italian journalists who lie through their teeth about Malta, and our prime minister keeps his mouth shut. Why?
7. Dr Joe Borg, our Commissioner at the EU, faces disgrace from all sides and our prime minister still keeps mum about the tuna fishing debacle. Our fishermen are now deprived of their livelihood and amateur fishermen are up in arms as they are deprived from catching the odd tuna. What justice?
