Curtain Raiser ensures that all kids have a magical Xmas Curtain Raiser is organising the largest childrens’ Christmas event to ever been held on the islands. This Christmas, Curtain Raiser would like to invite children in Malta and Gozo to have a merry magical Christmas time with their friends and family, by throwing them a party that they will not forget. December 8 will be the date to mark down in your diaries… but there is no rush, as the party will be held all throughout the day and for just a small fee of €6, families can come and enjoy a splendid time with Curtain Raiser's professional children's animators and entertainers. The venue of Buskett Roadhouse will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland. Lapland will be set up there and children will have the pleasure of visiting Santa's Grotto, bounce their way on the eight bouncy Castles (all with a different theme), watch five different interactive Christmas shows spread out during the day, visit the fantasy tent, meet Christmas characters such as the Gingerbread Man and the Snowman amongst others. They can also have some pirate training by none other than the wildest pirate Captain Hook, and, especially for the girls, the chance to be be made up like princesses, or play computer games with Buzz Lightyear. The children will also be regaled to a Disney Christmas ball and Christmas lunch with Father Christmas, as well as tea time with Mrs Potts and Mary Poppins and most importantly, have plenty of fun. Later on in the day, the children can stay to have dinner with Santa and one of his elves. All throughout the day, the children will have the pleasure of being in the company of characters like Mickey and Minnie, Dora, Noddy, Winnie the Pooh and many many more. Some of the shows to be performed on the day will include the following: In Search of the Missing Reindeer, where Rudolph, gets kidnapped by an Ice Troll, who changes his ways when the children in the audience make him realise that all he needs to do is make friends with the other characters and will simply accept him for who he is, rather than be nasty to everyone just because he feels a little lonely. A show jam-packed with action and some catchy Christmas songs for the children to sing along to. Once Upon a Toy, where a Toy Witch is given a second chance by the other toys and the children in order to become a better toy. A show with lots of music and interaction for the children to enjoy, together with plenty of humour. Here the children will learn the true meaning of friendship and courage. Excerpt from the show Downtown Fairytown This is Curtain Raiser's Christmas musical for this year and at the children's magical Christmas, you will be able to watch a sneak preview of a show which is full of action and interaction with a range of some of children's favourite characters including father Christmas. An alien lands on Planet Downtown Fairytown from outer space during the Christmas season and the characters together with the help of the children need to show Bibi the Alien what Christmas is really all about. An adventurous tale for all to enjoy and be a part of. A program of the day will be given at the entrance to each child so that they can choose for themselves which activities they wish to participate in and of course they will have a chance to try anything they wish. Apart from all of this, there will also be choice of Christmas food for all those families who wish to take things a step further and join us all for a pre-Christmas lunch or dinner. So why not make this an appointment for your children to meet Father Christmas in advance and give him a hint as to what they would like him to bring them on Christmas Day? Start your Christmas celebrations early this year with plenty of Christmas fun and certainly in a lot of style. All meals are to be pre-booked at the bar.
