Dripht + Dolls for Idols

Dripht will be reuniting for one show at Remedy Club, Paceville, with support from Dolls For Idols. Doors open at 21:30. Entrance is at €5; €10 with both Dripht EPs.

Areola Treat

The band will be playing at Rookies Bar, Bugibba from 22:30. Entrance is free.

The Gaslamp Killer

The Californian genre-bending electro artist will be performing at Escape Club, Corinthia Marina Resort, St Julian’s at 22:00. He will be joined by local DJs Danjeli, Owen Jay, A.I., Big Dog Foundation, Synthact and Ezzy. Tickets are at €14.

One-Act Play Festival

MADC's annual launching pad for new talent, held at the MADC Clubhouse, Santa Venera from 19:30. The festival this year will feature five plays directed by Adam Brimmer, Maxine Calleja Urry, Justin Camilleri, Franco Rizzo and Barrie Stott. Who’s Breaking?

Exhibition of works on canvas, board and paper using paint and mixed media by Jean Karl Izzo at the Upper Galleries of St James Cavalier.

Photography exhibition by the Malta University History Society (MUHS) in collaboration with the University of Malta Library by University of Malta students, dealing with 'Monuments and Sites' and 'Endangered Heritage', held on the ground floor of the University Library. Can be visited during Library opening hours: Monday Friday: 09:00 – 17:00; Saturday: 09:00 – 12:00.

2 Diaries

A joint exhibition by Carmel Bonello and Jeremy Ellul at the Heritage Malta Head Office, Old University Buildings in Merchants’ Street, Valletta. Opening hours Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (closed on public holidays). On Saturday 3rd October the exhibition will be open in the evening for the event of Notte Bianca.

Five French philosophers
Professor Joe Friggieri will be giving a short cycle of lectures on French Philosophy at the University Gozo Centre, Mgarr Road, Xewkija, Gozo each lecture will be dedicated to a major philosopher, namely Descartes (October 8), Rousseau (October 15), Voltaire (October 22), Pascal (October 29) and Sartre (November 5). All lectures start at 19:00 and finish at 20:00. Entrance is free but booking is recommended: 21220701/21238456


Quiz Night Thursdays

Quiz at Ciao Fra, Sliema starts at 20:30. Each table booked is considered to be a team. Quiz packs containing 40 questions on different topics are given out to each team, who would in turn be given an hour’s time limit to fill in their answers. After the hour elapses, correct answers will be called out by the quizmaster, after which the winning table is announced. Winners receive a €20 discount off their bill. A free bottle of The Stump Jump (Australia), imported by Bicanter Wines, will be given to the winning table and runners up. Those interested in participating are kindly asked to contact quizmaster David Darmanin on 99458567.

Aperitivo Fridays

From 18:00 until 20:00 on Fridays, Ciao Fra, Sliema will be offering an unlimited mouthwatering supply of nibbles and finger food, along with free flowing Prosecco (di Valdobbiadene DOC - Veneto, courtesy of Bicanter Wines) - all at the price of €10.00
