Refunds on our electricity meter

I think it’s high time – now, more than ever before – that we start being refunded whenever we experience suspension in service of both electricity and water. Strictly speaking, whenever these utility services are for some reason or other suspended, consumers are saving on bills. But, on the other hand, they are still paying for the meter’s rent.
Now that we are also paying a much higher rent for batch meters, I find it unjustified that we keep doing so even for that time during which electricity and water are suspended. Yes, we should be refunded proportionally – little as it might be – the rent on meters. After all, we are all paying our bills till the last euro cent and nothing is deducted. Now that we are paying exorbitantly higher bills I justly expect more from both corporations! Messers Tranter and Giordmaina please note!
