Thank you YWCA

Some time ago I came across a needy family, a young couple with nowhere to live and practically no belongings whatsoever. Their only valuable possessions are a beautiful 18-month-old daughter and another baby on the way.
I myself, being brought up with very much love and all that I ever wished for, never imagined that there could be people in such dire states.
However, a friend introduced me to the YWCA a non profit voluntary movement, a worldwide organization that unites 25 million women and girls over 122 countries and 100 affiliated autonomous national YWCA. Their aim is to build an association that provides solutions, to sustain and develop the wide spectrum of holistic services of the underprivileged women and families. They are a group of women from all walks of life, who strive to improve the lives of those women and girls who had fallen on hard and difficult times. The Association offers opportunities by providing educational training for persons facing social exclusion and employment challenges.
They took a lot of trouble to help this couple by providing them with the much needed furniture and other items that could help them to live decently.
So I hereby wish to publicly thank the YWCA for their sterling work and make an appeal to the public who are in the process of upgrading their home to donate furniture and other items in good condition. In this way they would certainly be helping these needy people.
My hearfelt thanks go especially to Ms Mary J Jones the President and Ms Doris Cusens the PRO of the YWCA Malta for their dedication and unconditional love for these people.
