I would like to bring to your attention about some current facts that should make a few GO loyal customers cringe.
Despite the fact that GO, like their competitors are constantly offering various 'special packages' to potential and current 'loyal' subscribers, the latter are bound to be the ones who are actually suffering more than benefiting and I will attempt to explain why.
About a year ago I took up one of their 'special packages' called Free Nights and Weekends, costing Euro12.81 per month. This offer provided for 200 free minutes after peak hours to GO subscribers during the week's peak hours and free calls to GO subscribers during the weekend.
GO are currently offering yet an even better package called Call Anytime which is a) Cheaper - costing Euro 9.99 per month and b) Superior since it also offers free calls to GO subscribers at all times.
Now while I might be sounding like I'm trying to promote GO's services, on the contrary, I'm really annoyed due to the fact that such a benefit has not been passed on to me automatically and to my benefit as a loyal customer... no Sir! Instead I (like most of you) was left paying more than I should for an inferior service. Is this fair, or shall I say Legal?
Feeling ripped off, I called GO customer service whose excuse was that "they cannot automatically switch packages without the consent of the customers". Good one Go...now try the other foot! Come on GO, be serious - even if it's to the absolute and obvious benefit to the customer?
After much calls and no explanations as to why I was deliberately being ripped off, a customer service superior asked me to put my complaints in writing which I did. I was eventually offered a paltry rebate to what I missed since the introduction of the newer, better and cheaper package - so they must have missed the whole point which is my trust, especially since I have to continuously monitor my bills and see if I'm being unfairly cheated on a monthly basis.
For those people who believe they can 'trust' GO and have no time, knowledge or means of browsing through the plethora of Special Packages being offered by GO on a daily basis, BEWARE! You could be paying more for a service that a) does not even exist (read - superseded as not even offered on their website and as admitted verbally by customer service) and which b) costs even less - which brings me to yet another question - is it legal for GO to charge for a service that has been superseded and is no longer offered?
I leave it up to you to decide whether GO are so simply expecting us to always be loyal to them while they continue to rip off people by overcharging for a lesser and now non-existent service and call it Customer Support?
