Body of Glass – After Caravaggio
Vince Briffa will be presenting a video and audio installation at the cellars of Auberge d’Italie. It forms part of ‘Caravaggio – quote… unquote’, an exhibition of contemporary art by five artists in five different spaces, curated by Dr. Keith Sciberras and co-ordinated by Davinia Galea.
The exhibition addresses the body as being simultaneously object and subject of experience. Echoing Caravaggio’s chiaroscuro idiom in its overall aesthetic, the video work concerns the human flesh and its reaction to harassment set in the contrasts of light and shade.
The exhibition is open between Monday and Friday (9.00am - 6.00pm) and Saturday (9.00am - noon).

A collective exhibition of paintings and sculpture at the Heritage Malta Head Office, Merchants Street, Valletta including artists Dominic Dimech, Astrid Zammit, Nadege Cassar, Josephine Cachia, Noel Petroni and Kevin Attard.
