New PBS Chairman deflects questions on Bondiplus saga

Freshly appointed PBS chairman Joseph Mizzi has deflected questions on the fine handed down by the Broadcasting Authority over an episode of Bondiplus, stating that such matters are the province of the Editorial Board.
“I believe the questions should be addressed to the Editorial Board of PBS as they are the competent body that vets content,” Mizzi replied when asked whether he believed that the BA was justified in its decision.
Mizzi also refused to reply if Lou Bondi’s allegations on other ‘biased’ programmes, also broadcast on PBS, were justified.
The Broadcasting Authority found the Bondiplus edition aired on the 8 March, in which the only guest was deputy prime Minister Tonio Borg, as unduly biased in favour of government programmes and policy slapping PBS with an administrative penalty of €1,165.
In a six page reply, Bondi made several allegations against the BA, accusing it of using two weights and two measures and undue bias in his direction also making numerous claims on its lack of impartiality.
