Our flag, our pride The last week of November was not so rosy for our national flag. On Wednesday 25 November, our flag – attached to King Juan Carlos plane’s cockpit – was seen flying the other way round. This time, it was red to the mast and white to the last! Incredible, but that’s how it was. In another incredible incident, on Sunday 29, the George cross was erroneously replaced by the Maltese ‘right-pointed’ cross. Again: unbelievable but true! This time the ‘culprit’ was none other than the European Commission in Malta. I feel that these incidents made a mockery of our national flag and merit an apology on the part of these concerned. I firmly believe that our flag is our pride!
