Golden eggs and Parliamentary flowers

These backbenchers are forcing their coach to add them in his team. They want to lay their hands without delay on the goose that lays the golden eggs.
The coach can only select 11 players to play the game. He will have at his disposal reserve players ready, in case he wants to make a change.
Egoism sometimes leads these backbenchers to forget about the supporters that gave them their vote. These voters are the ones who feed this goose, which in turn lays these golden eggs for them.
Let us do not beat around the bush and forget those golden words that were said by our respected Professor (‘Fil-Parlament Ma Jikbrux Fjuri’): flowers are very rarely to be seen in our Parlament.
Sometimes MPs forget how lucky they are to occupy such a post; and instead of thanking the Lord for this one-in-a-million opportunity, they want to grab more and more.
On the other hand, the coach cannot tolerate his players scoring own goals, and we all know from the last administration the own goals that some of his players hve scored, and some of them are still scoring.
A good coach has to decide instantly, and will not let the game end without changing his players at the right time. Otherwise he will lose the game, and be sacked by his management.
We are witnessing arrogance; lack of communication with the citizen; free-for-all prices, direct taxes; authorities that were born under this government increasing their fees without any explanation; and we are also getting fed up, but not because we want to take those golden eggs, but only to have a decent standard of living as we were promised.
A ship with more than one captain on board will never enter port. We have to admit that this is the case regarding the PN government, and we have to face the facts, otherwise this ship will find herself on the rocks.
There is ample time to change course. We have to be brave and intelligent enough to do it. We, the crew, have to know were the captain is taking us. We have every right to a safe journey, a journey that will safeguard our standard of living.
