Another bad accident endangering residents’ lives

I appeal to you to dedicate some of your precious time in going through the serious and unhealthy conditions that we as residents have been facing these last years.
As can be seen in the above photo, the heavy vehicles and machinery are endangering our lives. Another serious accident occured when a heavy vehicle crashed into the entrance of an inhabited apartment block. Luckily again nobody was hurt, however we’re asking whether there will be another occasion such as this. We feel that risks are being taken at our expense.
This road in question is quite a narrow road and apart from being heavily used, is open to one-way traffic. But in view of a great project being carried out, heavy vehicles have been given access with the approval of the local mayor to pass wrong way.
All our petitions have fallen on deaf ears, and the only reply we got was from the mayor who told us that development has to carry on. To this we agree, but not at the expense of our lives.
We have recommended that smaller and more adequate vehicles be used, however, once again, we received no reply. We’re sure the council is duty-bound to safeguard the health of the residents and not of the contractor concerned.
We have also been promised that regular washing of the streets would be carried out. However, our roads are not being cleaned.
