A political record

Many of us miss the point when the PN continues to trumpet an age-old song that the PL is not worthwhile for these EP elections because in the past it had a different position on the EU. Does this really matter in getting the job done?
Track records speak for themselves. Where it matters, PL MEPs have done a great deal in obtaining better situation for the Maltese citizens, be it in less taxes (removal of satellite dish tax), less charges (mobile roaming), illegal immigration (asylum centre), and the list goes on. I only see things to be proud of here.
On the other hand, I would more be ashamed if I formed part of a party who made a lot of nice promises, made much ado about large projects, such as that of Smart City, and the cooperation agreement with Microsoft. Projects which now are seemingly dead. Gone. And the list goes on.
