‘Dubious’ Enemalta procurement

So yet again the Nationalist government chooses an inferior or non-functional product at a much higher cost. Does anyone seriously think this government is not corrupt? Rotten to the core? Is it more then just landmass that Malta is short of? Did God shortchange us on IQ as well? Are there not enough examples of what is ‘business as usual’ in Malta?
As for Enemalta, I distinctly remember that it had purchased over a million liri worth of switchgear from a company run by the son of a chairman, and then spent thousands of liri to store equipment it did not need. This, when Enemalta could not afford to install filters and precipitators despite a proven link between this pollution and life-threatening conditions and illnesses.
Your newspaper may not be the Washington Post but at least you haven’t prostituted your professional integrity like other papers. Would it be possible to dig a bit deeper? Which legal office is representing who, what retainers are being paid, which Nationalist businessman stands to gain the most? Any family members involved?
Someone once said that if it walks like a duck and shits like a duck, then it’s a duck. In Malta, this would however be reported as a flying monkey.
