Gaming director charged

A 42-year-old Greek national residing in Kappara was yesterday charged under arrest before a magistrate’s court and granted bail against a deposit of €72,000 for allegedly misappropriating €2,329.27 and contravening Remote Gaming Regulations set by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) in Malta.
Dimitrois Drosos was accused both in his personal capacity and as director of the Cypriot-owned gaming company Gold Victory Ltd, which is based in Malta and regulated under the LGA.
Police sources told this newspaper that they were asked to investigate the case following a report drawn by the LGA itself.
Prosecuting officer inspector Ivan Cilia requested that the provisions of the Money Laundering Act are applied against the accused.
