Privitera’s claims untrue

It is incredible what stomach Eddie Privitera has. He follows the media as he has little else to do. I’m sure he very well knows that the accusation of a Lm30,000 gift to Vince Farrugia is pure invention and fabrication, and that I won a libel suit with damages against one of the leading Sunday newspapers for saying this as well as most of what else Eddie Privitera preferred to regurgitate against me. Sheer lies. It’s the mendacity that some old Labour diehards dish out whenever someone who they think is their own dares to speak out loud and clear.
According to Eddie Privitera, civil servants and public officers should not receive their salaries when the government for which they work goes berserk, as Labour did in the eighties. I’ve never been paid anything that was not due to me. The same like most other public offices I left when things were impossible to manage due to policies I disagreed with: from higher education, from MDC, from tourism, from the banks. But I do not advise this to anyone. One’s family suffers and there is always some Privitera to insinuate and slander. Simply to hurt.
Secondly I refer to the Labour Party: can’t somebody in authority stop the vitriolic outbursts of the remaining few who fail to see that the dialogue society we live in argues in a more intelligent way. The PN has become the party of all because PN leaders have successfully turned their party into the party for all Maltese. Labour remains sectoral. It still stores hatred.
