MEP of the year Turmes in Malta Luxembourg Green MEP Claude Turmes, awarded the European Voice MEP of the year for garnering cross-party support on ambitious targets for renewable energy said the Maltese government, like all other governments in the EU, will have to present detailed plans on renewable energy. He said the renewables sector can create millions of jobs throughout the EU and also lots of job opportunities in Malta. He said that AD’s proposals for 50,000 solar water heaters for 50,000 families over the next five years and for 5,000 photovoltaic systems over the next five years for 5,000 families are a good step in the right direction. Turmes was addressing a press conference at the offices of Alternattiva Demokratika yesterday. Any comments? |
