Anton Sammut’s epic a great book

Reading literary works encourages freedom of interpretation, for they offer us an alternative picture of real life; or to be more precise, a more realistic picture of life itself. With his Alte Vestiga, Anton Sammut managed to shape his vision in a very brilliant way as to find a path back to what is truth. Such great books have to be treated with great respect, with creative intellect, and not with shallow-minded interpretation and sheer dilettantism. I’ve read a lot of good Maltese books, but in my opinion, none of them had ever reached such a literary, artistic, and philosophic level like Sammut’s epic novel, for it encourages us to experience through it that which we often are unable to experience without it. This book is a cataclysmic tsunami of philosophical thought. Well done Mr Sammut!
