Migrants detained in the Safi barracks staged a protest on Monday night, at 9pm, police said yesterday.
Officers from the Zurrieq police division were despatched to the barracks, where they called for members from the Mobile Squad and the Special Assignment Group to intervene. The Police said detainees had burned some objects and threw stones and boiling water at police, but nobody was injured.
