I would like to ask the Commissioner of Police whether it is a crime for someone to call a band club’s president at 4:00am on a particular night between Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th August, 2008, one week before the local town’s festa – and after identifying oneself, complains to the said president that music from speakers placed at the club’s balcony had been going on for quite some time and could be heard from homes nearby.
However, before the historical phone call, the police were also informed, but it seems that they could do nothing as the club was closed at that time, and the only policeman who heard the music complained that he wasn’t “spiderman”.
The powers that be at the police station tried to convince me that it was only me who heard the music! They told me emphatically that phoning the club’s president was a crime! It seems I should have phoned the secretary, because that would not constitute a crime.
May I humbly ask since when have victims become offenders with injustice backfiring on them? Does it matter who phones who? Or are there more equals than equal? I expect an explanation please.
