Labour MP Karl Chircop will be flown to the United Kingdom for more care, after showing positive signs of recovery, the Health Department said yesterday.
Chircop is still being recovered at the Intensive Therapy Unit at Mater Dei after being admitted on 3 August with a cerebral haemorrhage.
Chircop will be flown to the UK on Thursday. His family has once again expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the Mater Dei staff, especially the doctors and nurses at the ITU. They also expressed thanks to everyone who showed solidarity with them during this unfortunate period.
Opposition health affairs spokesman Karl Chircop, 42, stayed in stable but critical condition after having been hospitalised suffering from the cerebral haemorrhage.
