| NEWS | Wednesday, 06 August 2008 PN, AD congratulate MLP administration PN secretary-general Paul Borg Olivier and AD secretary-general Victor Galea yesterday congratulated the officials elected to the MLP executiveBorg Olivier congratulated Micallef on his confirmation as secretary-general, auguring that Micallef would work in the national interest in a time when the country was going through reform and important changes necessary for improving people’s quality of life. Borg Olivier said the post of secretary-general carried a lot of responsibility, both towards the party and towards the country. “A secretary-general must put service to the nation as a priority.” Victor Galea said he hoped that the choice of Labour’s officials would mean that the diversity of opinions in the country would be respected and that different ideas were seen as enriching political debate.
