Mixed messages from the (world’s) local church

On Sunday, 29 November, a pastoral letter by Archbishop Paul Cremona and Gozo Bishop Mario Grech was reportedly read during Mass to mark Advent. Its many propositions included the following: “You cannot serve both God and money.”
That being so, how does the local Catholic hierarchy reconcile this exhortation with the display of the HSBC logo as well as a link to internet banking at the bottom of the http://gozodiocese.org/ home page?
