Note to a blinkered partisan

I usually do not bother answering letters such as Mr Edward Torpiano’s (‘AD, still the same’, 20 December) because it is clear that they are written from the perspective of blinkered partisan supporters, in this case a staunch Nationalist who refuses to see the wood for the trees.
Mr Torpiano uses the usual parochial, small-minded arguments of partisan supporters. Whoever dares criticize the PN, which has been in government for more than 20 years, is labelled a Labourite. I don’t expect any better. Staunch Labour supporters labelled anyone in favour of Malta’s accession to the European Union as Nationalist. So actually there is no real difference between Mr Torpiano and a staunch Labourite.
To both, those who don’t support their infallible party or government are agents of their traditional foes.
