No parking tickets in vain

I believe that it is about time the minister for transport, in conjunction with the ADT and the Commissioner of Police, should change our parking laws to clearly state that where no lines exist, parking is permissible. By so doing they will stop raking money from of our pockets in vain. I would go one step further and ask for their resignation, in that they are the ones flouting the law.
If the law says that one has to park their car at least five metres from the corner or so many metres from a bus stop or zebra crossing – then they should stick to these rules or do away with them.
Photos I have taken in Naxxar and in Birkirkara speak for themselves. If these are acceptable to the ADT, then no one should pay fines for parking in corners. But then I say, this is possible since we are in Banana or Mickey Mouse Republic.
