115 migrants yesterday landed at Haywharf base, accompanied by the army’s maritime squadron, at 9pm.
A boat carrying the illegal migrants was intercepted by the AFM and is being escorted to Malta.
The boat was intercepted some 20 miles off Malta. Two patrol boats and a rescue launch escorted the boat to the AFM Maritime Squadron base at Haywharf.
Another boat carrying 84 migrants, was spotted 90 miles off Malta earlier this week but was forcefully returned to Libya by the Italian Navy.
