Disrespect towards Freedom Day

I cannot but express my disgust at some Nationalist speakers who made some disgraceful remarks during the PN general council last weekend. Remarks made by David Casa, Vince Farrugia and Paul Borg Olivier amongst others, can only be described as disgraceful, and with great lack of respect towards our country. Maybe the significance of Freedom Day is not their favourite national day, but no one can dispute that it is one of the benchmarks in the forming of our nation. Given their remarks, I can only understand that these persons would rather have the Maltese people in pre-1979 conditions. Shame.
