MPs need good salaries

A good salary for parliamentarians should not be a cause for disgruntlement. Giving an MP his due would make him more responsible, and less vulnerable to abusive practices of the kind that have been the subject of political mudslinging, which leads to the loss of capable politicians.
Honesty is always the best policy and facilitating it is surely the best way forward for the new way of making politics. Let parliamentarians enjoy the fruit of their work, but they will also feel more responsible and accountable for what the public is benignly and generously conceding to them.
May every citizen from top to bottom enjoy the country’s economic progress and the word equity be understood in all its forms. Should it not also be applied to those who rely too heavily on welfare services, which they receive for free at other people’s expenses, on the minus side of course?
