The 1977 doctors’ strike For the sake of accuracy, with regards your editorial of the 29 October, 2008 (Mintoffianism rules, Ok), in the 1977 dispute between Mintoff and the doctors, the doctors did not go out on a half-day strike at all. There was only a partial industrial action during which MAM offered and tried to provide an emergency service.
