Wound in the countryside

I visit Malta occasionally, and above all, the thing I am most after while I am here is Malta’s countryside. Unfortunately as time goes by I see that this countryside is being abused by arrogant people, who with their greed are ruining what little of it is left.
Sometimes when I am here I go walking in the outskirts of Marsascala and this year, I was literally shocked. Ahead of me stood a monster of stone and concrete right in the middle of the small lung of fresh air left for the nearby towns.
How can such permits have been released? Was this an election favour? Why do these things continue to happen here in Malta?
I wish that you will investigate this case, and I have chosen MaltaToday as I believe that at least this is a newspaper that is truly independent from any political party.
This wound in the countryside, is near St Anthony chapel in Marsascala.
