greymatter
A conceptual sculpture by Pierre Portelli exhibited at the Main Hall of St James Cavalier, Valletta as the first phase of the Amazing Race project, which deals with environmental issues.

Pictures in my mind
Part of the Five Senses project held at the upper galleries of St James Cavalier, Valletta. The project is bringing together 12 young people from Malta and the Maltese-Arab and Maltese-Indian communities together with youths from China, Eritrea, and Sudan currently living in Malta as trained by photographer Patrick Fenech over the past months. The youths will present their photographic work in a collective exhibition based on how they view the Maltese culture. Based on the principal of silhouettes and montage, the exhibition is emphasing the diversity in the human figure with strong features portraying the various races working in a team to show ‘pictures in their minds’.

An exhibition curated by Dott. Claude Busuttil at Contemporary Hall, National Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta. Open Monday to Sunday from 09:00 hrs - 17.00 (Last Admission 16:30).

Exhibition of paintings by Raphael Labro at the Cittadella Cultural Art Centre, Victoria, Gozo. Open daily from 10:00 to 16:00.

Evolution of Form
Exhibition of ceramics by Herman Ciappara, held at the Atrium of St James Cavalier, Valletta.

Views of Gozo (1800 - 1940)
A collective exhibition of paintings from the National Collection depecting views of Gozo throughout the ages. Organised by Heritage Malta and the Gozo Cultural Council for the Gozo 1,2,3,4 event at the Banca Guiratale, Victoria Gozo and currently on show at the Heritage Malta, Gozo Area Office, The Citadel, Gozo. Open Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 16:00.

Good Vibrations
An exhibition of watercolour paintings by Paul Caruana at Inquisitor’s Palace, Vittoriosa. Open Monday to Sunday from 09:00 - 17:00 (Last Admission 16:30).

An Evening with Luigi Tessarollo and Marc Galea

Autokat + The Areola Treat + Airport Impressions
Autokat, whose debut album (Late Night Shopping) got staggering reviews on practically all the important UK music magazines including NME and Uncut will be platying at Sky Club, Paceville alongside The Areola Treat and Airport Impressions. Their latest single, Innocence was BBC’s single of the week and only recently Mike Joyce from The Smiths (amongst others) has joined forces with the band. Qormi Wine Festival
Five exhibitions, ranging from wine, paintings, photo, floral and another of historical and cultural treasures found in Qormi, will be concurrently held during the festival.
The event will also include performances by bands, soloists and ghana performers and competitions. The Qormi Wine Festival is being organised by Kumitat Festi Esterni San Gorg Martri, Qormi in collaboration with Qormi Local Council, the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs, the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth and Sport, and Marsovin. Entrance to all exhibitions and events is free of charge.
