Criminology students lobby for introduction of parole

This subject should surface amongst topics that are seriously discussed in all circles of society, within the coming months. Parole is a concept and system that appears to be the natural way to go in our penal system. However, it is definitely healthy to delve deeper into the same - as soon as possible.
Debate is indispensably healthy and things must not be rushed into - simply because other systems have adopted it.
On the other it is no great novelty - thus we do not need years on end of discussion, prior to deciding whether it should be adopted or otherwise.
Congratulations to the Criminology students, who have sparked off the issue.
Looking forward to hear more in the coming days and weeks.
