EVENINGS ON CAMPUS
The 16th edition of the Evenings on Campus is currently being held at the Old University Courtyard, St Paul’s Street, Valletta. Tickets for all events are available from www.maltaticket.com and the following outlets: Vodafone, Exotique, Agenda, NewsKiosk, Bookends and at the door. All events start at 20:30.

August 25
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Royal Tenenbaums is a 2001 dramatic/black comedy directed by Wes Anderson. A largely off-beat, ironic, absurdist sense of humor pervades the entire film. Tickets are at €5.

August 29, 30
Perception
Original choreography performed by two Maltese and five young, foreign dancers. Choreographers Christina Camilleri and Maria Cassar merge together two different dance genres to create a fusion of classical and contemporary techniques. The audience is asked to come, support and participate as an artist would in front of a blank canvas. Tickets at €8.

LITERARY EVENT

Tomorrow
Poezijaplus ghal Kilin
Poezijaplus will be hosting an event dedicated to the local author at Café Deux Baronnes, next to Upper Barrakka, Valletta from 19:30. Charles Xuereb will be interviewing Kilin’s family members during the event, while Trevor Zahra, George Peresso and Marco Galea will talk about Kilin’s place in Maltese literature.

Life As It Happens – Valletta Waterfront Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
A photography exhibition documenting the story of the Valletta Waterfront since its launch three years ago. Set up on the waterfront parallel with the Atrium Carpark, it features over 80 photographs, some of them measuring over four metres. Open from Monday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 22:00. Scream Daisy Unplugged
The band will be playing an acoustic set at the La Rive Café and Wine Bar, Sliema.

September 7
An Evening with Luigi Tessarollo and Marc Galea
Luigi Tessarollo (Italian virtuoso guitarist) together with Marc Galea (session guitarist, tutor) will be performing at the MITP, St Christopher’s Street, Valletta from 20:30. The concert will be divided into two parts. In the first act Luigi and Marc are going to play several jazz , latin and blues numbers mixed with their own compositions arranged for guitar duo, while in the second part they will be joined by Lawrie Simpson on double bass and Joe Bibi on drums. Five exhibitions, ranging from wine, paintings, photo, floral and another of historical and cultural treasures found in Qormi, will be concurrently held during the festival.
