BOV supports concert of contemporary music and art

Bank of Valletta is sponsoring L-Ghabex, an innovative concert that will be combining contemporary art with a variety of music performances. The concert, that includes both solos and ensembles, will be held on Friday, August 29 at the Citadel Centre for Culture and the Arts, Victoria, Gozo. The funds raised will be in aid of Dar Guzeppa Debono.
BOV is sponsoring these local artists who came together as a result of a joint collaboration between Mariella Cassar and Albert Garzia, two young composers studying in the UK. The performance will feature some of Malta’s best local talent and includes soprano Miriam Cauchi and cellist Simon Abdilla Joslin. Christopher Saliba, a renowned Gozitan artist, will further complement the evening with an art exhibition.
Speaking about Bank of Valletta’s support Karl Spiteri, Manager Corporate Branding and Quality at Bank of Valletta said, “Supporting the local music and arts scene has always been an important part of the Bank’s contribution to the community. The professionalism and skills of our local artists is encouraging and is a source of great satisfaction for us who support such and event, as well as the organisers who take great pains in ensuring the success of the event.”
Tickets can be obtained from Bookworm, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo.
