Attacks on journalists condemned

The Journalists’ Committee yesterday condemned the attack on a cameramen during a protest organised by the Federation of Transport.
From the first reports at hand, two cameramen were attacked physically and injured by demonstrators in Valletta.
“These attacks are totally unacceptable and we expect that the necessary steps are taken against the aggressors. We also expect that the organisers of the protest take a clear position against violent and anti-democratic elements, and condemn these actions with words and actions, and help the authorities prosecute those responsible for the aggression,” the Committee said.
