Parliamentary statement on shipyards

Byline

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi will be delivering a statement in parliament today evening on the privatisation of the shipyards.
The statement follows discussions the government has held with the General Workers Union, which represents dockyard workers. The meeting was held with finance minister Tonio Fenech last Friday.
The parliamentary statement will precede questions from both sides of the House on the privatisation of the shipyards.
