Tonight, running through 5 August
Blu, Ericailcane & Lorenzo Fonda
Kinemastik has invited Blu & Ericailcane and Lorenzo Fonda, three young Italian artists to hold a workshop in mural painting at St. James Cavalier and the University Roundabout. It will take place at St. James all throughout the week, from 10am until 10pm and at the University Roundabout from between 1 ñ 3 August only.
The public will also have the opportunity to see them at work as they will be redecorating an urban space. The event will also include short films and animation. Entrance is free.

The Great Farsons Beer Festival
The Great Farsons Beer Festival will be held at the Taí Qali Park until 5 August and will start at 8pm each night. Entrance and parking are free. The festival will feature live entertainment as well as a wide selection of local and international brews and food. And for the first time this year, a special section will also be serving beers that are available exclusively in export markets ñ Farsons Strong Ale, Lacto Milk Stout, Cisk Red and Cisk Extra Strong.
Tonightís performers include Pitch 99, New Harmonics, Rug (Gianni & Friends) on the Rock Stage with an 80s-themed Reflex Party held at the main area.

EXHIBITIONS

Generation
Australian born Mark Geradaís Generation paintings, on show at the St James Cavalier main hall, incorporate old images from photographs his Maltese grandfather and father took during his 1970ís childhood. Working on 60 canvases simultaneously, Mark works the photographic images into collages, combining them with layers of paint and bright colour.

World Heritage: Humanityís Gift to the Future
An exhibition produced by UNESCO and organised by Heritage Malta being shown as part of the Public Information and Consultation Campaign on the Management Plans for the Megalithic Temples of Malta. At the Lobby, National Museum of Archaeology, Valletta. Free Entrance. Open Monday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm (last admission at 6.30pm).

Anastasia Ponyatovskaya is holding an exhibition at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, entrance to the Cotoner Hall. The main door is the corner with North Street and Mediterranean Street , Valletta. Opening hours from 10am till 7pm. All items will be on sale.

Body of Glass ñ After Caravaggio
Vince Briffa will be presenting a video and audio installation at the cellars of Auberge díItalie. It forms part of ëCaravaggio ñ quoteÖ unquoteí, an exhibition of contemporary art by five artists in five different spaces, curated by Dr. Keith Sciberras and co-ordinated by Davinia Galea.
The exhibition addresses the body as being simultaneously object and subject of experience. Echoing Caravaggioís chiaroscuro idiom in its overall aesthetic, the video work concerns the human flesh and its reaction to harassment set in the contrasts of light and shade.
The exhibition is open between Monday and Friday (9.00am - 6.00pm) and Saturday (9.00am - noon).

A collective exhibition of paintings and sculpture at the Heritage Malta Head Office, Merchants Street, Valletta including artists Dominic Dimech, Astrid Zammit, Nadege Cassar, Josephine Cachia, Noel Petroni and Kevin Attard. Free Entrance. Open from 8am to 4pm.

Love is in the Air - MIA concert
The Palace Courtyard will be hosting a vocal and orchestral concert with performers from Sweden, Austria and Malta. The concert will feature the Berwald Symphony Orchestra of Stockholm, Lydia Caruana (soprano), Dimitri Popov (tenor) and Manfred Honeck. Concert starts at 9pm and tickets are at Lm8 (Ä18.63).
