Le Salon en Spirale
Hats & Tales in collaboration with KKU shall be presenting Le Salon en Spirale, a musico literary evening as part of Evenings on Campus. In this event, the artists involved will create works based on the set theme of Spirals and all their work will be influenced from texts or poems of other artists. The night will be animated through a narrator, as he takes his audience with him to discover a surreal and magical world these artists will create. Artists of the night include Chris Galea, Annabelle Galea, Nicole Cuschieri, Miriam Galea, Gilbert Micallef, Kevin Attard, Mario Vella and Roberto Pace.

From knowledge to know-how
As in previous years, the St James Centre for Creativity in Valletta is providing an opportunity for students from the MCAST Institute of Art and Design to exhibit some of their end-of-year work. This year, the focus will be on how creative thinking is essential even in the working world, as the works on show give the viewers a peek into the artistic process and how it can be applied.

Every Child is an Artist
The year 2007 marks the 100th anniversary of Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and the 70th anniversary of Guernica, two of the most famous paintings of the 20th century. This exhibition of children’s works representing four schools is the last in a series of exhibitions organised by the Art Programme of the Faculty of Education (University of Malta), held at the St James Cavalier Terrace Hall, dealing with contemporary responses to the work of Pablo Picasso.

One World, One Tribe
Reza strives to depict the human being as an entity from birth to death through subjects spanning all ethnic groups, races and nations to highlight the characteristics that unite the human race. Endorsed by UNESCO, this is the first international exhibition in Malta by Reza, whose images have appeared on the covers of 25 National Geographic magazines. The exhibition will be open for viewing all day throughout the rest of the month at the Mediterranean Conference Center.

Generation
Australian born Mark Gerada's Generation paintings, on show at the St James Cavalier main hall, incorporate old images from photographs his Maltese grandfather and father took during his 1970’s childhood. Working on 60 canvases simultaneously, Mark works the photographic images into collages, combining them with layers of paint and bright colour.

Anastasia Ponyatovskaya is holding an exhibition at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, entrance to the Cotoner Hall. Come Try-a-dive with Atlam
Atlam Sub-Aqua Club is organising a charity dive at Ta’ Fra Ben at Qawra Point. Registrations start at 8.30am till 4pm on a first come first served basis at Lm3.50. All necessary equipment will be provided, however candidates who have their own masks and fins can bring them along. Candidates dive at their own risk and must be at least 14 years of age. They will be submitted to a free medical examination prior to the dive. Under age candidates must be registered by both parents on presentation of their ID cards. Try Dive in Aid of Caritas Malta
Calypso Sub Aqua Club in collaboration with Dive Systems will be organising the annual try dive in aid of charity, this year being Charity Malta. For a donation of Lm4, participants will be taken in a 20min exploration dive accompanied by qualified instructors at Exiles Beach in Sliema from 9am till 4pm.
