Smelly Bugibba

Every summer, thousands of tourists visit Bugibba to swim, eat drink and sleep in our village. They are welcome. Our economy needs them, but how they are treated?
It is a beautiful attraction for many. People love to stroll along this road during any hour of the day. Once in a while, we see someone with paint and brush spicing up the railings. Someone installed plants and flowers on the pavement and it looks pretty.
But has any minister come for a walk here? In some places it stinks and it has been like this for years. Would you invite friends to your home if the toilet was blocked? Words like ‘Blue flag beach’ come to mind. Are we swimming in it?
