Vodafone Malta to invest €50 million

Vodafone Malta has announced that it is to invest €50 million over the next five years on an upgrading of its communications infrastructure and services. The news was delivered by Vodafone Malta CEO Inaki Berroeta during a visit that Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi made yesterday to the Vodafone offices in Birkirkara.
Among other projects, Vodafone Malta will also be investing in new services and further training for its employees.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction to the investment, defining it as a vote of confidence in Malta. Such investment in technology, he said, also fitted neatly with the development which the government was charting for the island.
Vodafone will be moving to the MIA Business Centre next year and would also be investing on upgrading to the international gateway and faster data speeds.
