Reference is made to the opinion article ‘A Morning in Court’ by Saviour Balzan, in the MaltaToday edition of 13 January 2010.
According to the National Broadcasting Policy, news falls under the command of the news editor and the editorial board. It has to be clarified that it is not the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Thake Vassallo, who decides on news content or the news itself, since these are the sole remit of Dr Natalino Fenech, the editor, and the editorial board chaired by Prof. J. Pirotta.
