Ghirghien development should include social housing
In relation to MEPA’s meeting on the proposed development at Ghirghien, Birzebbugia, which is due to take place tomorrow (Thursday 20 August), Zminijietna - Voice of the Left reiterates that the proposed development should include social housing.
Zminijietna - Voice of the Left is reiterating its appeal that was made before during the MEPA board meeting of June 26. MEPA should not to give in to pressure being made by some who are opposing social housing in the proposed development of Ghirghien in Birzebbugia.
Social housing is included in project’s development brief. If there is anything in the proposed development which MEPA should reconsider, this is the excessive development and lack of further open space and not social housing.
